Mark Bloedow is the Director of Worship and Music at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Madison, Wisconsin, where he manages the extensive music program, directs musical ensembles, and serves as organist, playing the church's Holtkamp tracker pipe organ.
Mr. Bloedow also serves as the President and Executive Director of Maestro Productions, Inc. and is an adjunct music professor in church music graduate studies at Concordia University Wisconsin. In the Fall of 2001, he also served at Concordia as Director of Kammerchor (Concordia'a touring choir) and Instructor of Music.
In addition, Mr. Bloedow has served as a guest lecturer for the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh-Continuing Education teaching a course on Spirituality in Music and as a workshop clinician for the annual Church Music Conference at Concordia University Wisconsin. In addition, he has performed as an organ recitalist in Appleton, Oshkosh and Lincoln, Nebraska. He recently completed a CD recording with performers from Maestro Productions, Inc., "Christmas Classics."
His handbell and organ works are published by Concordia Publishing House, St. Louis, MO; MorningStar Music Publishers, Fenton, MO; Hinshaw Music, Chapel Hill, NC; and Midwest Music, Oshkosh, WI. His newest collection of organ music for Advent, Christmas, and Epiphany, "He Comes to Us," is published by Concordia Publishing House. His music has been featured on demo recordings from various publishers and retail businesses.
Recognized as a leader in positive Christian musical and dramatic performances, Mr. Bloedow has been privileged to share in the inspirational and faith building experiences of participants and audience members. In addition, he enjoys a growing professional career as a composer, conductor, church music consultant, organ recitalist and handbell clinician.
Mark Bloedow earned his Bachelors of Music Education from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 1990 where he graduated with Outstanding Senior recognition. He received his Masters of Church Music in December 1999 from Concordia University Wisconsin, Mequon.
