Mark Bloedow, Professor of Music, Executive & Artistic Director
Assistant Professor of Music (Concordia Univeristy Wisconsin), Executive & Artistic Director (Maestro Productions, Inc.), Freelance Artist, Conductor & Consultant

Mark Bloedow serves as Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Handbell Activities at Concordia University Wisconsin. At Concordia, Prof. Bloedow conducts the Alleluia Ringers and Chapel Ringers, and serves as the conductor and developer of Concordia’s community chorus, the Concordia Civic Chorale. In addition, Mark is the Executive/Artistic Director of Maestro Productions, Inc. (including the Madison Area Community Chorus and Ringing Badgers Handbell Ensemble), and Music Director at Immanuel Lutheran Church, all located in Madison. He was previously Artistic Director for Madison's Choral Arts Society Chorale, and Guest Director, Associate Music Director and Music Director for Madison Area Concert Handbells.
Mark earned his Bachelor's degree in Music Education from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh where he graduated with Outstanding Senior recognition. He received his Master's degree in Church Music from Concordia University Wisconsin, Mequon, where he later served as guest adjunct Professor of Music before joining the music faculty full-time in the fall of 2016. He has taught Handbell Music Methods in the Master of Church Music graduate program at Concordia. Presently Mark is a doctoral student at Boston University in the DMA in Music Education program.
Mark's professional involvement includes being active with the Madison area Association of Church Musicians (ACM), having served the organization for five years in key leadership roles on the Executive Board including President and Vice-President of ACM and Dean and Sub-dean of the American Guild of Organists Madison Chapter, ACM Program Committee Chair, as well as, leading various programs and events. Mark also served on the Handbell Musicians of America Area 7 Board as the Wisconsin South Sub Area Chair. He is the founding Director of the Madison based Ringing Badgers Handbell Ensemble which regularly attends and performs at Area 7 Festival Conferences, most recently in Rochester, MN. He is also the Owner/Executive Director of Handbell Week.
In addition, Mark performs as an organ recitalist with previous appearances in Appleton, Madison, Milwaukee, Oshkosh, Ripon, Wisconsin, and Lincoln, Nebraska. His handbell and organ works are published by Concordia Publishing House, St. Louis, Missouri; MorningStar Music Publishers, Fenton, Missouri; and Midwest Music, Madison, Wisconsin.
